كلمة العدد الثالث من مجلّة غيمة الإلكترونية الفصلية للأطفال واليافعين:
The cloud has brought its beneficial rain.
The second issue was released on time despite the pressures, and it came out in its finest form: the published content, design, illustrations. And now, the third issue is in your hands, achieving this with the help of three qualities possessed by the “Ghaima” magazine team: dedication to work with a spirit of cooperation, solidarity, and tolerance among the team members; the second quality, equally important, is volunteering, which has been discussed in terms of compensation for contributors, writers, illustrators, designers, activists. Despite the ongoing problem, our determination hasn’t wavered. We faced challenges and worked hard to ensure the success of this cultural project. The third quality is our belief in the necessity of entering the digital age and having digital literature for children. We don’t claim to be the first to initiate this, nor does it mean we’ve abandoned physical books and print magazines or provided an alternative. That’s not our goal. Our approach is to overcome the difficulties of publishing, printing, and distribution, with the realization that these can be expensive and deprive children of access to good literature.
Today, we present readers with the third issue, which is no less in quality than the previous two. It’s also experimental. The novelty of this issue is a significant surprise: the contribution of children to the literary and artistic production in “Ghaima” magazine. We have embraced their promising works, hoping they will continue to participate with their pens and colors in the magazine, in reading, writing, and creativity. Thus, the cloud benefits, and we benefit from the beneficial rain.
Malik Al-Shwaikh.
